ABOUT US

Our Mission

To provide strategic level continuous development for HR professionals and other business/non-profit general managers in the areas of optimizing organizational and human performance; and, to provide networking opportunities to meet with and share knowledge in a safe, collaborative environment.

The Pacific Northwest HR Strategic Forum (PNW HRSF), an affiliate of HR People & Strategy (HRPS), is a non-profit organization whose primary purpose is education, networking and the advancement of the practices, technology and theory of HR planning.

Reflective of its NW environment, the PNW HRSF enables diverse leading-edge HR practitioners in business, consulting and academia in Washington, Oregon and Idaho to obtain and exchange the latest emerging HR ideas, information and experiences in a professional yet informal environment.

In Support of our Mission, PNW HRSF

  • Offers Strategic Speaker Forums that feature distinguished human resource scholars, practitioners and business leaders.
  • Provides Senior Practitioners’ Forums where the Senior HR leadership from a diverse group of corporations headquartered in the Northwest share information on key business issues and strategic HR imperatives within their organizations.
  • Initiates corporate and academic partnerships and establishes networks to add value to our members.

Affiliation

As an affiliate of the HRPS, the PNW HRSF and its members benefit from the expertise and research resources of the parent society. Our members also enjoy reciprocal privileges with the HRPS’s other affiliates and partner organizations within the U.S. and Canada and can attend their programs at member prices.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer opportunities vary in both the activities and the amount of time commitment needed. If you are interested in volunteering and/or would like more information about volunteer opportunities, please send an email to the PNW HRSF mailbox and you will be contacted by a Board or Committee Member.

Board of Directors: If you would like to be heavily involved with the PNW HRSF consider volunteering for a position on the Board of Directors.

The president elect position is elected by the membership and serves in the position for 1 year. The next year it succeeds to the President position for a year and then to the Past President position for a year, serving on the Board for a total 3 year commitment.

The other Board positions serve 2 year staggered terms. Members volunteer for the positions, which are approved by the Board directly. Treasurer and Secretary serve as Affiliate Officers and members of the Executive Committee along with the President, President-Elect and Past President. The Director at Large positions provide overall direction and serve as chair or members of various standing committees.

Standing & Adhoc Committees: Volunteer opportunities involving less time commitment are available via committee membership.

Standing Committees:
     1. Communications & Marketing
     2. Finance
     3. Membership
     4. Program

Ad-Hoc Committees:
