Theresa Welbourne is a Research Professor
at the Center for Effective Organizations (CEO) in the Marshall School
of Business, University of Southern California. She is also the
President and CEO of eePulse Inc. and the Editor-in-Chief of Human
Resource Management, the Journal.
Dr. Welbourne runs several large research projects focused on developing
interventions to improve organizational performance through people.
These research studies include the Leadership Pulse, which is the only
real-time benchmarking and leadership learning project currently in
place with over 12,000 leaders around the world. She also conducts
in-depth case studies with organizations, using pulsing technology that
allows for repeat measures (as frequently as weekly) with employees
going through large-scale and ongoing high change environments (e.g.
mergers, high growth, new leaders, etc.). Her work includes breakthrough
thinking about employee engagement, based on data from large-scale,
multi-firm, longitudinal studies on the predictors of firm growth and
the role of employee energy in driving change.
Theresa works with a range of organizations through her work on the
leadership pulse and the focused case study work. She has extensive
experience with smaller, high growth organizations and with large,
global Fortune 100 and FTSE 500 businesses in a variety of industries.
