Barbara Magusin
Senior Vice President, HR, Premera Blue Cross
Since 2002, Barbara Magusin, SVP HR for Premera Blue Cross, has had oversight
responsibility for all human resources strategy and activities including
workforce planning and development, HR technology, compensation, benefits, and
associate relations. Additionally, she co-chairs PremeraCARES, Premera's
committee overseeing social responsibility, community leadership and corporate
giving programs.
Barbara has extensive leadership experience in HR strategy, leadership
development and coaching, change management and performance evaluation systems.
Prior to joining Premera, she served as an independent consultant to
organizations such as Washington Dental Service and Applied Materials. She was
also Vice President of Human Resource Planning and Development for Ceridian
Corporation and has held various positions in Human Resources for Sea-Land
Service, Inc., Paccar Financial Corporation, and Seafirst Bank.
Barbara is a graduate of University of California at Santa Barbara and holds
an MA in Education from California Lutheran University.
