Cherita McIntye recently joined Safeco to lead design and execution of talent management and organizational capability strategies. Before joining Safeco, Cherita was FVP, of Talent and Executive Development at WaMu, where she led talent systems and executive development programs for the enterprise.

Cherita moved to Seattle form Dallas, TX where she worked for Tenet HealthSystem as Director of Organizational Effectiveness. At Tenet she implemented the talent management system and several leadership development programs. She also consulted with business leaders on organizational restructuring and team effectiveness. She has spent several years in consulting and worked for the General Services Administration in Washington DC for over nine years.

With over fifteen years of experience designing and executing selection, leadership development, process improvement, and organizational effectiveness strategies, Cherita focuses on building leadership capability. She received her doctorate in industrial psychology from George Mason University and master’s at the University of Minnesota in the same field. She attended Brown University to receive a bachelor’s in psychology and business. Cherita enjoys volunteering with community organizations, playing tennis and traveling.
