Jeff Diana joined Safeco on Dec. 1 2007 as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources. He reports to CEO Paula Reynolds and is a member of both the Leadership Committee and the Office of the CEO . Jeff leads Safeco's HR Business Partner community and HR Centers of Excellence including; Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Benefits, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Diversity, Operational Excellence , Employee Engagement , & Training (Safeco University). Since his arrival Jeff has led many key initiatives including the HQ Resource Alignment Project, redesigning Safeco's Total Rewards offering, the creation of a new leadership competency model ( Leadership Traits), a large scale revamp of the performance assessment process, & the creation of an annual enterprise wide Talent Review rhythm. Jeff came to Safeco from Microsoft where he has supported nearly 17,000 employees as HR general manager for Worldwide Services, a $2.5 billion global consulting business, with accountability for the Microsoft Support Services organization. Prior to Microsoft, he spent five years at General Electric in a variety of roles and GE divisions. He led HR initiatives and process improvement activities for GE Plastics, GE Advanced Materials and GE Infrastructure HQ. A trained HR Black Belt, he) has built recruiting pipelines, designed talent development programs, and launched successful retention initiatives. He started his HR career at BellSouth Telecommunications after graduating from the University of South Carolina Business School with master's degrees in Human Resource Management and Sociology. He earned his undergraduate degree from Tufts University in Boston. |
