John Malitoris John Malitoris is an Executive Director at Duke Corporate Education. Prior to assuming this role, John was a Managing Director and before that a member of the Duke Corporate Education Academic Network. As Executive Director, John is responsible for managing key client relationships, leading design and development work with current and potential clients, and developing others at Duke CE through mentoring and coaching. John has expertise as an educator, executive, consultant, and entrepreneur. Most recently, he has worked with professional services firms and major corporations in the design, development and delivery of educational programs for leaders and experienced professionals to improve client satisfaction, enhance business acumen, improve targeted competencies, and develop a stronger customer and market-facing culture. John has also worked with senior executives as an executive coach to enhance their focus and performance. For over 15 years, he worked internationally in the professional services industry as a senior executive and experienced consultant. As a senior executive, John led the operations of a rapidly growing professional services firm with responsibility for human resources, recruiting and staffing, professional development and training, finance and administration. John worked in the United States and Europe in progressive consulting roles leading to partnership. His consulting expertise includes operational and business process improvement, strategic and business planning, performance measurement, compensation system design, and development of feedback/evaluation systems. In the early 1990's John started and led the growth of a retail services business to over 400 employees and $10 million in revenue in less than three years, with responsibility for strategic leadership as well as day-to-day operations. Early in his career he worked in marketing and management positions for product and service divisions of a major telecommunications provider. John holds BS and MS degrees in Materials Engineering and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. |
