Marc Effron Marc Effron is Vice President, Talent Management for Avon Products, Inc., where he is accountable to build the quality and depth of Avon’s leaders. Working to support Avon’s 42,000 global Associates and 5 million sales representatives, Marc and his team create and manage the processes for talent planning and succession, leadership and functional training, measuring and building engagement, developing high potentials, executive coaching, performance management and more. He applies a practical, fact-based approach to building leaders which emphasizes managerial accountability. Marc’s prior experience includes serving as Global Practice Leader for Leadership Consulting at Hewitt Associates, where he created the Top Companies for Leaders research. Marc was also Senior Vice President, Leadership Development for Bank of America, Director of Organization Effectiveness and Learning for Oxford Health Plans, and a compensation consultant for a global consulting firm. He previously served as a political consultant and a congressional staff assistant. Marc co-authored Leading the Way, co-edited Human Resources in the 21st Century and has written articles in The Change Champions Field Guide, Leading Organizational Learning, The Financial Times Handbook of Management and The Practice of Leadership Coaching and in journals like London Business School's Business Strategy Journal. He is widely quoted in the business media on leadership issues and is a frequent speaker at industry events. He earned a B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of Washington and a M.B.A. with Honors Letters from the Yale School of Management.
