R.J. Milnor
Senior Director
Corporate Leadership Council
R.J. Milnor is a Senior Director with the
Corporate Leadership Council, a membership-based research firm serving over
1,200 of the world’s most progressive organizations with quantitative and
best-practice research in the field of human resources. In his role, Mr. Milnor
is responsible for presenting the Council’s research studies to members in a
variety of forums around the world. The Corporate Leadership Council is the
flagship HR research program of the Corporate Executive Board (NASDAQ: EXBD),
which serves executives in a variety of disciplines across more than 2,500
organizations and 75% of the Fortune 500.
Mr. Milnor works closely with senior executives
to explore the Council’s research and uncover the unique implications for their
businesses. Upon joining the Council, Mr. Milnor partnered on its leadership
development initiative.
Since then, he has led discussions on subsequent
research studies in performance management, HR metrics and measurement, employee
retention, succession management, globalization, employment branding, employee
engagement, high-potential management, and the Council’s most recent findings on
the attraction and retention of critical talent segments.
Prior to joining the Council, Mr. Milnor worked
as an investment banker with Salomon Smith Barney in New York. He has also
consulted on political and economic risk for businesses around the world, and
lectured at the Johns Hopkins University and the University of Virginia.
Mr. Milnor holds an undergraduate degree in
International Studies from Rhodes College and masters’ degrees in International
Relations and International Economics from The Johns Hopkins University School
for Advanced International Studies. R.J. resides in Norfolk, Virginia with his
wife Diana.
