Tom Robinson
Consultant, Chinook Associates
Tom Robinson has 25 years of experience in
analyzing processes, coaching and developing managers, facilitating
high-performing teams, and teaching methods for improving quality and customer
service.
For the past eight years Tom has focused
much of his consulting on lean methodologies, rapid process improvement (RPI),
and group facilitation. He has consulted to a wide range of organizations
including Virginia Mason Medical Center, Watermark Credit Union, Philips Oral
Healthcare, Texas Tech University, Harborview Medical Center, and BP Exploration
Alaska. Tom's Rapid Process Improvement team received BP's regional Helios Award
for their work on the North Slope and in Anchorage.
During his career he has also held positions
as chief administrative officer of a worldwide investment bank, human resources
development manager for a pharmaceuticals company, and senior consultant for
Deltapoint, whose clients included Boeing, Burlington Northern, Johnson &
Johnson, and Milliken.
Tom received a Ph.D. in Education from
Stanford University, and a B.A. in Outdoor Education from Prescott College. He
also serves as one of four core faculty members in Seattle University's
Organization Systems Renewal (OSR) Masters program.
